These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all jet ski, boat, and personal watercraft (“PWC”) rentals and activities provided by Lake Lanier Jetski Rental (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking, accessing, or participating in any rental or activity, you (“Guest,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
Assumption of Risk
Jet ski, boat, and PWC activities are inherently hazardous. Participation involves risks including, but not limited to, unpredictable wakes, currents, weather conditions, equipment malfunction, water temperature exposure, and the actions or negligence of other participants or third parties.
By participating, you voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with these activities to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Eligibility & Participation Requirements
- Passengers must be 10 years of age or older and able to swim.
- Operators must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid temporary boating
- No operators of motorized vessels under 18 years old
- Guests aged 10–17 may participate only under direct adult supervision but cannot be operators of motorized vessels.
- All participants must be in good physical condition and must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Participation is not recommended for individuals with medical or physical conditions that may impair safe operation, including but not limited to heart conditions, seizure disorders, mobility limitations, hearing or vision impairments, or pregnancy.
- Maximum combined rider weight per watercraft: 450 lbs.
The Company reserves the right to deny participation to any guest who does not meet eligibility or safety requirements.
Safety Equipment & Rules
- A U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket and engine kill switch lanyard must be worn at all times while operating or riding on Company equipment.
- Guests must operate watercraft in a safe, responsible, and lawful manner.
- Maintain safe distances from swimmers, shorelines, docks, vessels, and other obstacles.
- Reduce speed in congested areas and when approaching shore or docks.
- Follow all posted signage, verbal instructions, and safety briefings provided by Company staff.
Failure to comply with safety rules or instructions may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.
Bookings, Payments & Deposits
- All rentals require a valid payment method on file.
- A security deposit may be required and authorized prior to participation.
- Rentals are considered private group rentals, and each group is treated as a single entity for financial responsibility.
- If damage occurs, the security deposit may be charged in whole or in part, regardless of which group member caused the damage.
- The Company has sole discretion to determine whether damage is new or pre-existing and to assess repair costs.
- If repair costs exceed the deposit amount, you authorize the Company to charge the remaining balance to the payment method on file.
Damage, Loss & Financial Responsibility
Guests are financially responsible for:
- Any damage, loss, or misuse of Company equipment caused by themselves or any member of their group
- Damage to third-party property or injury to third parties resulting from their actions
- Costs related to recovery, repair, cleaning, downtime, or replacement of equipment
Accidental damage, improper operation, or failure to follow instructions does not relieve financial responsibility.
Group Responsibility
For private group rentals:
- All group members are jointly and severally responsible for compliance with these Terms
- Violations by any group member may result in termination of the rental for the entire group without refund
- The full group deposit may be charged for violations or damages caused by any group member
Termination of Rental
The Company reserves the right to terminate any rental or activity immediately, without refund, if:
- Safety rules are violated
- Guests operate equipment recklessly or unlawfully
- Guests fail to follow staff instructions
- Guests appear impaired or unfit to participate
Release & Waiver
All participants are required to sign a separate Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement prior to participation. These Terms do not replace or limit the enforceability of that agreement.
Disputes & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or participation in rentals shall be resolved in accordance with Georgia law and any dispute resolution provisions contained in the Release of Liability Agreement.
Acceptance of Terms
By booking or participating in any rental or activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
