Shoal Creek Campground on Lake Lanier is a peaceful, lakeside getaway managed by Margaritaville but located just off-site from the main Lanier Islands resort. Many of our Lake Lanier Jetski Rental customers stay here on weekends because it offers clean campsites, easy shoreline access, and calm waters perfect for jet skiing, boating, kayaking, and fishing. Just minutes from LandShark Landing and other Lanier Islands attractions, Shoal Creek combines Margaritaville-quality management with a quiet, natural setting, making it an ideal base for a weekend full of lake adventures.

Baldridge Creek Campground

Bald Ridge Creek Campground has 78 spacious campsites and is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Sidney Lanier. All sites have water & electric hookups (50 amp) and many are next to the lake with views of the aqua-blue waters. The well-maintained campground is operated by the Corp of Engineers.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (from 27 to 109 feet). Each site has water & electric hookups, a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Most sites also accommodate up to 3 vehicles and 8 people. ADA sites are 9, 10, 60, 62 and 64.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, laundry facilities and a dump station. There’s also a boat ramp, swim beach, ice machine, picnic area and firewood available to purchase from the camp host.

Sawnee Campground

Sawnee Campground is a picturesque location for camping on the south end of Lanier near Buford Dam.

Sawnee is close enough to Atlanta to get away for a night by the shores of Lake Lanier, if you secure reservations before you arrive.
It is also far enough away from Atlanta — and its 3,752 roads name “Peachtree” something — that you can forget its there.

Once you begin to explore the 38,000 acres of glistening water, 690 miles of fascinating shoreline or the 100 small islands that are perfect for exploration, you will understand why Lake Lanier is the top choice of so many.
Sawnee Campground has 44 lakeside sites with electric and water hookups, 11 sites that don’t have hookups, and 5 for just setting up a tent and “roughing it.”
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. You’ll be surprised at how much fun you can have without a buzz, once you spend time at Sawnee.

Shady Grove Campground

Shady Grove Campground is where the livin’ is easy on Lanier. This park has 110 campsites – including tent campsites, RV campsites and group campsites — spread out over almost 110 acres.

If the camping, beach and swim area, boat ramp with a courtesy dock, paths and children’s playground don’t refresh you, take a cold shower and try again.

Once you set up camp, you won’t want to leave. Sorry, there are limits to how long you can stay.
